

Funeral for James Millard Guin, 64, of Decatur will be Friday, July 15, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Greg Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Guin, who died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Decatur General Hospital, was born June 27, 1947, in Dothan to James Spurgeon Guin and Peggy Skipper Guin. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Mr. Guin retired in 2006 from the Community Action Partnership of North Alabama where he was the Director of Weatherization. He was a loving husband and father whose joy came from spending time with his family whether it be at home, the lake, or Auburn, and he never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Cornelius Guin; son, Shaun Riley Guin (Whitney) of Decatur; two sisters, Sandra Manasco (Hobson) of Haleyville and Brenda Guin Vance (Doug) of Cullman; two brothers-in-law, Thomas W. Cornelius and Philip A. Cornelius, both of Gardendale; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be friends.
