He was the beloved and loving father of, James W. Martin of Boca Grande, FL; and the late Jackie Martin of Decatur; grandfather of Christy Felt of SF, Laure Cox of CO, Van Patrick Martin and Carolina Martin of Decatur, and James Martin Jr. of GA; four great-grandchildren and many friends.
Corkey spent a lifetime with TVA and was a member of The First Baptist Church of Decatur.
Corkey was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years Evia Ruth Martin, nine siblings and 67 first cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home, 741 Danville Rd. SW Decatur, Al 35601, Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 pm until time of service. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum in Roselawn Cemetery.
