James Rayburn McCreless

age of 78. James was born July 13, 1936 to Burl and Rose McCreless. James was a loving husband and

father. He graduated from Hokes Bluff High School in Gadsden and then entered the Marines serving

our country. He retired from Ford Motor Company Real Estate Loan Division. James was a member of

16th Ave Baptist Church for 50 years where he was a deacon. He had taught Sunday School and training

union for all ages. He was a past Gideon, Past President of Decatur Civitan Club and served as district

treasurer twice. James was preceded in death by his parents, brother in law, W.B. Garner, In Laws,

Bart and Ruth Bolton and his daughter, Gina McCreless.

James is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patsy; two brothers, John (Karen) and Larry McCreless of

Gadsden; sister, Sue Garner of Montgomery and brother in law, Gary Bolton (Diane) of Gadsden.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00am at Roselawn Funeral Home

Chapel with Bro. David Kelly officiating. A time of visitation will be Thursday, September 4, 2014

from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Lang, Joey Jones, Brad King, David and John McCreless and Gary Bolton.
