James M. McNalley

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. McNalley, who died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital, was born March 19, 1923, in Falkville to William Arthur McNalley and Sarah Lillian Holmes McNalley. He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy aboard the USS Stanley and was retired from Monsanto. He was a member of Albany Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Louise Holmes, and two brothers, Zeddie McNalley and Melton McNalley.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Dual Owens McNalley; two daughters, Sherry Parks (David) and Linda Burnett (Mike); and one son, Ricky McNalley (Gigi) all of Decatur; four granddaughters, Haley Burnett Kuhlman (John), Andrea McNalley Gerwin (Brett), Whitney McNalley Lamp (Stuart), and Sophie McNalley; one grandson, Michael Burnett Jr. (Kristin); one great-granddaughter, Sarah Laine Kuhlman; and three great-grandsons, William John Kuhlman, Jack Avery Lamp and Michael Afton Burnett III; three sisters, Ruth Houston of Tuscaloosa, Ruby Brown of Hartselle, and Muriel Holmes (Troy) of Falkville; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Memorials in his honor may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
