Mr. Sharp was born October 31,1924, in Decatur. He was a World War II veteran and was retired from Golden Flake. After retirement, he worked part-time with his friends at Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was a great family man who loved Jesus, his family and his cats. His mother, Mary Nowlen Sharp, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Clarice Carter Sharp; one son, Jimmy Sharp (Debbie) of Decatur; one daughter, Carolyn Cason (Lee) of Tylertown, Miss.; three grandchildren, Karla Dixon (Kirk) of Slidell, La., Regina Cason of Lake Mary, Fla., and Allyson Sharp of Decatur; three great-grandchildren, Kade and Kameron Dixon of Slidell, La., and Brooke Wallace of Decatur.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
