James Walker Stewart

James Walker Stewart, 43, of Decatur, AL passed away on March 31, 2024. His visitation will be on Saturday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home with his Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in Raper Cemetery.

James is survived by his two children; Lara Stewart Mayfield(Joe) and Kobey Stewart. Grandson; Lucian Mayfield, mom; Carolyn Sears(Daryl), dad; Greg Stewart(Carla), sister; Kayla Nunn and brother, Blake Stewart, grandmother; Joyce Stewart Smith(Charlie), niece, Kahlaysia and several precious Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, and girlfriend Lori Midkiff and stepdaughter Ashlynn Midkiff.

James was previously employed by I.C.E. Contractors.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gerald and Ellease Hayes, and paternal grandfather James Leldon Stewart.

James was a very charismatic, loving, funny, all around person. He loved to write; as it was always at the tip of his tongue. He loved traveling, horror, music, and Auburn football. WAR EAGLE!!!

Serving as pallbearers will be, James Parker, Chad Henderson, Nick Denard, Shawn Greenhall, James Poss, Greg Byford, Conrad Bennett, and Johnathan Alexander. Honorary pallbearers will be his cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any animal shelter or rescue of your choice.
