Jerome Howard Bumpus, age 85, died peacefully at River City Nursing Home, Decatur, Alabama, on 4-29-2025. Jerome was born 5-24-1939 to Howard Henry Bumpus and Travis Elrod Bumpus, both deceased. He leaves one brother and one sister, and six children, Steven, Melissa, Randall, David, James and Johnny. Jerome worked many years with his father and brother as a carpenter, and later as a cook. A memorial will be held Saturday, May 17th, 2025 for family and friends.
