Jimmy Ronald Barrett

Jimmy Ronald Barrett died in the morning of Thursday, September 11th, 2025. A graveside service was held at Roselawn Cemetery on Tuesday, September 16th at 11 AM, officiated by Father Chase Ackerman with Don Neil playing the bagpipes.

Jimmy was born October 25th, 1948 in Moulton, Alabama to James Finnel Barrett and Syble Christine Parker. He graduated from Hatton High School in Hatton, Alabama, afterwards attending an electrician's trade school. He was a veteran of the Navy and worked at 3M for 35 years in the maintenance department as an electrician. He enjoyed playing golf and hiking in Bankhead National Forest, though his biggest passion was riding his bicycle on the roads of North Alabama.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Molly; his son, Shane (Chris Forte); sister-in-laws, Beverly Payne (Steve) and Sarah Edman; brother-in-law, Tim Bounds (Karen); nieces Dru Payne (Devon Hill) and Brandi Qui (Mao); nephew Morgan Bounds (Lydia); sister, Peggy Mitchell; brother, Perry Barrett (Debbie); nieces Sonja and Monica; and nephews Eric and Mylan.
