Jose De La Caridad Arboleya

Jose De La Caridad Arboleya, 63, of Danville Alabama died peacefully at home on January 11, 2024 in the arms of his loving wife. He was born in Havana, Cuba in 1960 to Jose and Palmira Arboleya and immigrated to the United States as a young child. Jose attended Hialeah High School before studying Criminal Justice at Miami-Dade College and going to work at Miami Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Jose was preceded in death by his father, Jose Arboleya, and his mother, Palmira Arboleya and is survived by his wife, Kathy Arboleya, his sons Zackary Wallace and Stephen Arboleya, his daughter Katie Reiser, and his six grandchildren Noah, Luna, Isla, Liam, Emmett, and Meadow. A celebration of life is being held on January 18th, 2024 at his home. Donations to American Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers. Jose (Joe) loved his chosen profession as a law enforcement officer. He served in Law Enforcement for over twenty-five years and was very proud to serve his community. Joe met the love of his life, Kathy in 1992 while shadowing at Westland Mall where Kathy was also employed. He came into the store and bought six shirts from her and they say that they fell in love at first sight. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married on October 16th, 1993. Joe was very proud of his three children: Zackary, Stephen, and Katie. He loved being around and playing with his six grandchildren. Joe had a soft spot for his furry friend, Little Bit, treating her like a valuable family member. Joe was a member of Flint Church of Christ. Everyone who knew Jose (Joe) knew he loved his job and becoming a firearms instructor to help train new recruits. He will always be remembered for strength and kind heart. Even though he suffered with several illnesses, he was always joyful. We’ll always imagine hearing him say, “I’m dad. I know everything” one more time. We couldn’t have asked for better. Joe’s family will miss him every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
