Play Tribute Movie

Canine deputy Knox began his career with Corporal Porter in 2014 at Morgan County Sheriff’s office. He was certified by the United States Police Canine Association Region 22 and by the National Narcotic Detector Dog Association as a dual-purpose patrol dog. Canine Knox was certified all six years. Canine Knox was a German Shepard named after Corporal Porters great Uncle Knox McRae, who was Sherriff of Morgan County in the ’50s. He was a happy dog with lots of bounce in his step. When he was off work you would see him with his red kong hanging out of his mouth running circles around the yard playing. During Canine Deputy Knox’s career, he assisted in locating over a million and a half dollars in illegal Narcotics, recovery of multiple firearms, evidence, and people for the Morgan County Sherriff’s office and other Law Enforcement agencies. In addition to this, Canine Knox also assisted law enforcement in seizing over 20,000 dollars in U.S. Currency and multiple vehicles. Canine Deputy Knox passed away in his sleep at the age of 8, of natural causes on Sept 19, 2019. Knox was a vital part of our family he is loved and will be missed by Corporal Charles Porter and his wife, Amanda
