She was preceded in death by parents Charles H. Ikerman and Leanora R. Ikerman, husband Willie D. Owens, and son Charles E Owens. She is survived by three daughters Ann Owens Strunk, Helen Owens Hill (Butch) and Janice Owens Johnson (Martin), daughter-in-law Dianne Dean Owens, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and two nephews and one niece.
She was a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Decatur. She retired from the Redstone Arsenal, being an Administrative Assisstant for over 30 years. She served as a member of the local Pilot Club and ABWA.
To honor and celebrate Katherine’s life, there will be a Graveside service on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 2:00pm at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation with family will be from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Decatur Animal Shelter or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
