Funeral for Katherine Reeves Thompson, 86, of Decatur will be Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at noon at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jackie Kay officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon.Mrs. Thompson, who died Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Decatur Health & Rehab, was born February 9, 1928, in Alabama to the late Roman and Grace Reeves. She was a member of Central Park Baptist Church for 57 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and mother-in-law. Her husband, John Thompson, preceded her in death.Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Joe Thompson (Sarah) of North Carolina and David Thompson (Melanie) of Danville; two brothers, Billy Reeves and Bobby Reeves, both of Decatur; one sister, Betty Shelton of Decatur; and two grandchildren, Betsy-Grace Atkins (Chase) and Tyler Thompson.Pallbearers will be family and friends.
