Lawrence "Buddy" Edward Wade

Celebration of Life for Lawrence Edward (Buddy) Wade, 90, of Decatur will be Friday December 19th, 2025, at 10:30 AM in the chapel at Roselawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of the service on Friday at Roselawn Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday afternoon at the Crossville United Methodist Church Cemetery Crossville, Alabama.

Mr. Wade was born July 6th, 1935, in Albertville, Alabama to Maurice Robert Wade and Evelyn Simms Wade. He passed away on Sunday, December 14th at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an active member of East End Abundant Life Church. Mr. Wade served proudly for the United States Air Force, stationed in Nome Alaska and retired from South Central Bell with 30 years of service. He enjoyed his early retirement years with the love of his life and childhood sweetheart till her passing on December 15, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert Wade and one sister Jane Wade King and his spouse Oralee Brown Wade of 63 years. He is survived by his daughters Pam (John) Robinson, Decatur, AL and Cindy (Murray) deGraffenried Decatur, AL. Grandchildren are Michael (Becca) Robinson, Nashville, TN, Leslie (Brett) Stinson, Odenville, AL, Whitney (Jess) Knight, Hartselle, AL, Kathryn (Gage) Brewer Tuscumbia, AL and Jay deGraffenried Lawrenceburg, TN. Great Grandchildren are Wade Stinson and Hanley Stinson Odenville, AL, Toby Knight, Hartselle, AL, Owen and Olivia Brewer, Tuscumbia, AL.

As a gentle giant and respected man, he will be greatly missed but now resides in his heavenly home with his Lord Jesus Christ and his lovely earthly bride. In Lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to East End Abundant Life Church, P.O. Box 1165, Decatur, AL 35602.
