Lizzie K. McCrary, 94, passed away October 20, 2012, at Athens Rehabilitation and Senior Care. Graveside service will be Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Maples officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Roselawn Funeral Home.
She was born September 7, 1918, to James Russell Kent and Mamie Harp Kent. She was a retired nursing assistant at Decatur General Hospital. Her hobbies included gardening and pets. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles T. McCrary; and brother, Nolan Kent.
Survivors include her sons, Tom McCrary (Margaret) of Elkmont and John McCrary (Donna) of Hartselle; daughter, Jean Baraglia (Ron) of Decatur; brother, Winford Kent of Decatur; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and family.
