Mae Laverne DeVoe, 95, from Priceville, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026. Family and friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Mae at a Celebration of Life/Visitation on Monday, August 3, 2026 from 10am to 12pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mae is survived by one son, Arthur Mark DeVoe, from Huntsville, Alabama; one sister, Peggy Vest Tidwell, from Madison, Alabama; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard ‘Dick’ DeVoe; a son, Richard Michael DeVoe; a granddaughter, Julia Claire DeVoe; parents, Fleetis Olean Banks Vest, Floyd Gilbert Vest; one sister, Alberta Vest Hampton; two brothers, Willis Vest, Freddie Vest.
Mae was born December 22, 1930 in Morgan County, Alabama. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Richard ‘Dick’ DeVoe, for 72 years. Dick passed in March 2026. She loved being a homemaker, and Mother. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing, quilting, and gardening.
