Margaret L. Matthews, 88, of Decatur died Friday, February 24, 2012. She was born November 18, 1923 to William W. White and Berta Carter White. Funeral will be Monday, February 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Dr. Ben Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Matthews was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She worked retail at Diamond Jewelers and Rogers Department Store. Margaret was a devoted mother and wife. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John W. Matthews.
Survivors include her son, Rodger A. Matthews of Union Grove, AL; daughters, Monita Lind of Asheville, NC and Melissa L. Asherbranner of Decatur, AL.
Pallbearers will be men of Southside Baptist Church.
