Marina Flores De Lira, 53, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Her visitation will be on Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home with Father Victor Solomon officiating.
Marina Flores De Lira is survived by her children, Jeffrey (30), Rosa (24), Jessica (22), and Kevin (19); mother, Rosa Ramos; brothers, Francisco, Luis, Delfino and Miguel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eliseo Lira and father, Luis Flores.
Marina Flores De Lira, a Mexico native, immigrated to the U.S. in the early 90’s after marrying her husband, Eliseo Lira. They ventured to California were they began their family after having four children. In 2006, they commenced another adventure as they moved to Decatur, AL. In 2011, Marina became a widow and single mother to her four kids. After 9 years she became diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer. Throughout her long battle she stayed the same funny, loving, and hardworking woman she’d always been.
