

Louisville, KY -- Marion Broderick Mink, 100, passed away on July 28, 2015 at Nazareth Home, Louisville, Kentucky. She was born June 30, 1915, in Chicago, Illinois to Ita Scanlan Broderick and Joseph Patrick Broderick, both Irish emigres.
A funeral Mass will be 6:30 p.m. today, August 1 at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
Marion was preceded in death in 1993 by her husband of 49 years, Harvey Woodward Mink; by a sister, Vera Krichbaum; and by brothers, J. Clayton and Thomas A. Broderick.
Survivors include her children, Cynthia M. Adelberg (Robert) of Louisville, KY, Philip H. Mink of Anchorage, AK and Paul J. Mink (Vickie) of Hoover; and a brother, Paul A. Broderick (Skip) of Chandler, AZ. Grandchildren include Amy M. Adelberg (Sean Wehrman) of Denver, CO, Abby C. Adelberg (Frank Berry) of Dickerson, MD, Robert W. Adelberg (Kari Vanzant) of Lexington, KY, Johnathan Mink of Homer, AK, Angela Korver (Josh) of Anchorage, AK, Ryan Mink (Louise) of Vail, AZ, Todd Mink of Odenville, AL and Greg Mink (Libby) of Moody. Her 11 great-grandchildren are Parker, Sloane and Connor Wehrman, Liana and Colin Korver, Madeline and Hayden Mink, Gabriella and Elena Mink and Mason and Wyatt Mink.
Marion was a native of Chicago and lived in Elgin, IL and Memphis, TN before moving to Decatur where Harvey worked at the Marshall Space Flight Center. She was a meticulous homemaker and a talented seamstress and served as an active volunteer while raising their family. She later worked with H&R Block and Weight Watchers. The twinkle in her eyes, ready smile and cute quips were appreciated by all who knew her.
Memorial gifts may be made to St. Bernard Abby, Cullman, AL, Sacred Heart Monastery, Cullman, AL, to Marion's church in Decatur or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Roselawn Funeral Home will be directing.
