

She graduated from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky in 1958 with a degree in Elementary Education. Over the course of her teaching career, Mrs. Donham taught elementary students in Indiana, Illinois and Alabama. On December 26, 1958, she was married to Robert H. Donham of Brazil, Indiana and made their home in Mt. Carmel, Illinois until 1981 at which time they relocated to Decatur.
She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. After moving back to Alabama she became a founding member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James Yarbrough, Paul Yarbrough and Bayne Yarbrough; two sisters, Margaret Ann Yarbrough Fieger and Betty Sue Yarbrough Fieger.
She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Donham; two sons, Michael C. Donham of Decatur and Brad L. Donham; daughter-in-law, Valerie Springer Donham; two grandchildren, Kayla and Alan Donham, all of Huntsville; and two nieces and seven nephews.
Services will be conducted for Mrs. Donham at St. Luke United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. today, June 8, 2012. Reverends Bobby Ray Halbrooks and Dean Bowers will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Alan Donham, Bob Holland, Tommy Holland, Andy Yarbrough, Charles Yarbrough and Jimmy Yarbrough.
Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
