A Celebration of Life for Sue Peebles, 68, of Muscle Shoals will be today, December 30, 2011, at 5 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur with Brother David Nelson and Brother Steve Agee officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Peebles, who died Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Shoals Hospital, was born November 15, 1943, in Courtland to Elmer Baker Terry and Virgie Lee Marion Terry. She retired as a financial service representative for Citizens Bank. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a Methodist, an avid sports fan and loved the outdoors. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, J.L. Terry; and one sister, Nadine Loosier.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Rodger Dale "Jim" Peebles Sr.; two sons, Rodger Dale "Worm" (Medina) Peebles Jr. and Gregory Keith Streater; one daughter, Darlene (Charles Lee) Martin; one brother, Mike (Susan) Terry; one sister, Ann (Frank) Byrd; and five grandchildren, Andrew Martin, Rachel Martin, Morgan Peebles, Carey Grace Peebles and Zane Streater.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital and Paralyzed Veterans of America.
