Mary Ernestine Wilbourn

Mary was born December 29, 1931 in Marshall County, Alabama to Will and Thelma Stewart. She graduated from Jackson County High School in 1950. Mary was a retired school bus driver for the Decatur City School System. She was a faithful member of Flint Church of Christ.

Mary will always be remembered for her love for family, her church, the beach and camping. The sweetest memory will be, Mary and Harvey camping at Point Mallard campground surrounded by many of their children, grandchildren and friends.

Mary is survived by sons, Terry Wilbourn ( Jackie ) of Jackson Gap, Alabama and Charles Wilbourn ( Connie ) of Danville, Alabama; daughters, Deborah Gilliland ( Jimmy ) of Trinity, Alabama and Rebekah James ( Bill ) of Moulton, Alabama; sister, Martha Johnston of Flintstone, Georgia; grandsons, Jason Cartee ( Ashley ), Jeffrey Cartee ( Danielle ), Jacob Wilbourn and Andy Forbus ( Rachel ); granddaughters, Rachel Newman, Sydney Wilbourn, Erin Gillott and Candy Thurs ( Tim ); many beloved great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey B. Wilbourn Jr.; sons, William D. Wilbourn and Michael W. Wilbourn and her daughter, Thelma M. Wilbourn.

A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home, 741 Danville Rd. SW, Decatur, Al. 35601 at 12 pm with a graveside service following at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 10 am til 12 pm

Officiating the service will be Pastor Chris Pressnell of Flint Church of Christ.

Pallbearers will be Terry Wilbourn, Charles Wilbourn, Jacob Wilbourn, Jason Cartee, Jeffrey Cartee and Tyler Cartee.
