Funeral for Minnie Blades, 88, of Madison will be Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Reverend Ernest Hill officiating. Burial will follow at 11:45 a.m. in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Blades died Saturday, October 22, 2011 in Madison. She was born May 9, 1923, in Lockhart, Texas, to Thomas D. and Florence Hendrix. She was a charter member of Calvary Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Blades; and two brothers, Thomas and Luther Hendrix of Austin, Texas.
Survivors include one son, Warren E. Blades and his wife, Kathy; six grandchildren, Thomas Blades, Timothy Blades (Jennifer), Heather Freeman (Drew), Bonnie Gorman, Brian Gorman and Conor Gorman; and her great-grandchildren, Bryan McKinney, David Freeman, Emma Freeman and Liam Gorman.
Pallbearers will be Drew Freeman, Conor Gorman, Timothy Blades, Jerry Bennett, Dennis James and Roy Heifner.
