My first land lady in Decatur Alabama. She helped me with my apartment and even provided furniture for me .
Nancy was such a kind person who listened to me. we got along so well. It was as if we were on the same wave length. I watched her children grow up at Viewe Carre.

John,
Dan and I are thinking of you and your family and are truly sorry for your loss. I think of Nancy EVERY time I use her apple pie recipe. I have made so many of those pies and have given Nancy credit every time. They may not know Nancy but they know her pie recipe is delicious! I was blessed to know Nancy and her contagious laugh and smile....she truly loved people. Dan has shared many of his "Decatur" memories and I was very blessed to have met all of you. May God wrap his arms around you and your family during this time. Dan and Debbie Wadzinski

I was saddened to hear of Nancy's passing. It made me feel better to hear she passed peacefully with family near. I will remember her as someone who was fun to hang out with and a damned good cook.
Hasta Lavista Nancy.

Dear John,

We were sitting outside Sunday evening as Joop checked our phone at home.
That message was one we didn’t want to hear. Of course we knew Nancy was very sick but that phone call shocked us. I was glad that Joop was able to call you right away and spoke to you for a while. We are deeply saddened by the loss you and your family have encountered. Our heartfelt condolences John , Edie, Jason, Mom Taylor and other family members ❤️. We are so lucky that we met each other in Belgium a long time ago and from the first moment we became friends and our friendship bounded. All the moments we spent time together, wherever we traveled and in which countries we were , it’s in our hearts and souls. We will never forget our beautiful friend Nancy and we will keep the memorable moments and travels together for ever in our minds.
We can’t imagine what you must be feeling right know. Unfortunately we are not able to be at the services but John you’re in our thoughts and you know we’re just a phone call away.
Your friends forever
Joop and Wil.

Nancy was a warm, loving person who will be missed by all who knew her. I will never forget the hospitality she and John showed us each time we came to visit Aunt Jerry or were "passing through" Decatur on our way to Branson from Florida. My sympathies to her loving husband and children. May the Lord comfort you as you share the many memories she left behind.
Give Callie a hug from us.
