Rebecca Jackson Townson, 51, of Decatur, passed away on February 18, 2018. Her visitation will be Thursday from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. February 22, at Somerville Road Church of Christ. A Celebration of her life will begin at 4p.m.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years Doug Townson, son Hunter Townson, her parents Bobby and Judy Jackson, sisters Robin Jackson, and Angie Tate (James) and several nieces and nephews.
Rebecca was an elementary school teacher for 23 1/2 years. She loved her coworkers and her students passionately. She and her family loved going to the beach and the mountains frequently. She loved cooking for her family and was a lifetime member of Somerville Road Church of Christ, and was the best wife, mom, and daughter ever. She was also an avid Alabama Football Fan!! Roll Tide!!
Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends.
