Ricky L. Thompson

Ricky Thompson, age 70, of Hartselle, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2025 after an extended illness. He was in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by the family he loved so much.

Ricky was born October 22, 1954 in Decatur, Alabama to J.W. and Heddy Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Kimberly Thompson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Linda. Three daughters, Jennifer Burns (Chad), Laura Watson, and Kelly Kidd (Jeremy). Six grandchildren, Jeremy Legg (Kathryn), Carter Kodra, Riley Kidd, Colton Kidd, Kymberli Rawlings (Connor), and Courtney Burns. Two great grandsons, Jonas Legg and Silas Rawlings. Two sisters, Judy Borden (Wayne), and Pam Kelley (Jerry). One brother, Mickey Thompson (April). And numerous nieces and nephews that meant so much to him.

Pallbearers will be, Mickey Thompson, Wayne Borden, Mike Borden, Chad Burns, Jeremy Kidd, Chris Kelley, Jeremy Legg, Carter Kodra, Riley Kidd, and Colton Kidd

A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 11:00 am at Roselawn Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Roselawn.
