Decatur, AL
Robert J. Cottingham, 80, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born on September 12, 1931 to the late Foster and Etta Cottingham.
Survivors include his wife, Helen J. Cottingham; 2 daughters, Angel J. Cottingham and Jeannette Cottingham Kelley both of Decatur; 2 sons, Anthoney P. Cottingham of Decatur and Darrel McGee of Trinity; 2 brothers, Edward (Buddie) Cottingham of Trinity and Earl Cottingham of Decatur; 6 sisters, Mary Kelso of Trinity, Christine Whitlock of Moulton, Margie Lott of Decatur, Faye Coffey of Moulton, Dorthy Hargrove of Trinity and Patsy Blevins of Priceville; lots of nieces and nephews and friends.
The visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Wayne Turner and Bro. R.C. Borden officiating. Burial will be in Grange Hall Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Zack Cottingham, Tommy Bell, Joe Collier, Mark (Bo) Collier, Jeff Hargrove, Joey Hargrove, Micheal Hayes and PJ Jones. Honorary pallbearer will be Harold Knighten.
