lawn Funeral Home

Chapel in Decatur, Ala.

with visitation on Monday

from 1 p.m. until

time of service at Rose-

lawn Funeral Home.

Graveside services will

be at 1 p.m. Tuesday,

October 4, 2011, at Anniston

Memorial Gardens

in Anniston. Brother

Todd Evans will officiate.

Mr. Hughes was born

April 18, 1923 in Ohatchee,

Ala. to Jesse and Sara

Nance Hughes. He was a

member of Parkview

Baptist church in Decatur,

Ala. and was a retired

Mechanical Engineer

from General Electric.

Mr. Hughes loved to

garden and golf.

The family request

that in lieu of flowers

that memorials be made

to Parkview Baptist

Church, 305 Beltline

Place SW Decatur, AL

35603.

Mr. Hughes was preceded

in death by his

parents, by one brother

and four sisters.

He is survived by his

wife, Dorothy Cobb

Hughes, of Decatur; son,

Steve Hughes (Lisa), of

Nashville, Tenn.;

daughters, Sylvia Brallier,

of Franklin, Tenn.,

Connie Hughes, of Birmingham

and Lisa Krobot

(Joe), of Pittsburg, Pa.;

six grandchildren and

several nieces and nephews.
