Robby is survived by his mother, Carolyn Carey Tweedy, as well as his children, Robert Foster Tweedy, Jr., Katy Mac Dillon and Liza Lee Horton; and two grandchildren. Other survivors include his sisters, Carey Key (Gil), and Margie Thompson (Skip).
Robby grew up in Decatur and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. After graduating from Decatur High School, he attended the University of Alabama and the Cumberland School of Law where he earned a JD degree.
A graveside service for immediate family will be held at Decatur City Cemetery on Saturday, June 3 at 3:00 p.m. with Robby’s lifelong friend, William (Billy) Eyster, officiating. Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
The family would like to thank Robby’s caregivers, Joy Cowley, Kathy Hobbs and Enhabit Hospice.
