
Funeral service for Rufus Martin Bradley, 97, of Decatur, will be Monday, January 26, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Dr. Jackie Kay officiating. Visitation will be from 12: 30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery following the service. Mr. Bradley, who passed away at Riverside Senior Living was born January 2, 1918, in Pavo, Georgia, to William Silas and Gussie Bell Bradley. Mr. Bradley was a faithful member and deacon at Central Park Baptist Church in Decatur. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from the General Services Administration as Buildings Manager after a 33 year career. He started and operated his own carpet cleaning busines after retirement from GSA. He loved to fish and was a great story teller, recounting many memories from his life. Mr Bradley was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and five sisters.Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Hazel E.
