Funeral for Sarah Elizabeth James Roberts, 65, of Hartselle will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at noon at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with David Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Roberts, who died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born June 24, 1947, in Athens to Dewell James and Mary Elizabeth James. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, G.W. Roberts; grandson, Cody Dewayne Brown and two sisters, Thelma Johnson and Brenda Roden.
Survivors include three daughters, Sarah Melissa Roberts (James Martin) of Danville, Samatha Lynn McCoy (Freddie Collier) of Danville and Tracy Dawn Roberts (J.R. Barrera) of Trinity; two sisters, Betty Owens of Decatur and Jean Morgan of Fort Walton, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Lisa Marie, Felicia Beth, Cori Elizabeth, Chelsie Lynn, Andrea Chantey, Christian Andrew, Brittany Dawn, Matthew Blake and Ethan George; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Donald Owens, Cameron Owens, Nicholas Owens, Justin Roberts, Lonnie Ray Nally and Austin Boyles.
