Stella Chapman, known as Nell to most, went to be with her Lord on December 24th following an extended illness in Noblesville, IN. She was born on June 11, 1939 to James Horace Standridge and Stella Linderman Standridge of Decatur, AL. Nell was a long-time member of 6th Avenue Church of God.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela (Mark) Adcock of Indianapolis, IN; step-children, Vickie (Beau) Baughman of Tuscaloosa, David (Susan) Chapman of Madison, and Patty Rea of Decatur; brother, Jim (Beverly) Standridge, Jr. of Decatur; niece, Jamie (Wayne) Hawkins of Decatur and two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Chapman; parents, James and Stella Standridge and her son, Scott Ratliff.
Friends are invited to visit with family on Thursday afternoon at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery.
