Tom is retired from Montsano after 29 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and sang in the Lancers Southern Gospel Quartet. Tom graduated with Honors from Athens State University and was a graduate of Decatur High School Class of 1955.
Tom is survived by his wife of 56 years, Diane Barnette; four sons, Roger, John, Kelly and Kyle Barnette; two brothers, Jerry and Randall Barnette; eight grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 2:00pm at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with a time of gathering with the family from 12noon until 2:00pm. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
