Vera Beatrice Cox, 92, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021. Her visitation will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 11:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 741 Danville Rd. SW, Decatur, AL 35601. Following the visitation there will be a graveside service at 1:30 PM at Athens City Cemetery with Athens, AL 35611.
Vera is survived by her two children Ron (Cynthia) Cox and Debbie (Jimmy) Sharp; three grandchildren, Brian (Rachel) Cox, Aimee (Shannon), Allyson Sharp (fiancé Darrius Orr); and six great-grandchildren, Jacob, Wesley and Ben Cox, Sophie and Berkley Castleman and Brooklyn Wallace.
The family extends a special thank you, to the Riverside Senior Living family and Decatur Home Care, for the love and care, shown to our mother over the last several years and also, The Hospice of The Valley, Who was with her up until the end.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests, a memorial donation be made to one of Ms Vera's favorite charities, Hospice of The Valley or St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
