Funeral for Walter Murry Harvey, 88,

of Decatur will be today, March 14, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Dr. Todd Evans officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel.

Mr. Harvey, who passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011, at his residence, was born October 9, 1922, in Decatur to the late Annie Inman and Andrew Harvey. He was a World War II Veteran. He loved fishing and bowling and was a big Alabama fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, Katherine Crawley, Anne Kendel, Lena Duncan, Mary Arnold and Edna Crawford; and four brothers, John Harvey, Al Harvey, A.B. Harvey and Joe Harvey; and great-grandson, John-John Netherton.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jewell Harvey; one daughter, Mary Ann Netherton; grandchildren, Harvey Netherton (Tracie), Deanna Hill (Blain), Boo Netherton (Dawn) and Tony Netherton (Anne); great-grandchildren, Cody Hill, Spencer Hill, Taylor Hill, Jessica Hannon-Smith, Derek Chain, Will Netherson, Turner Netherton, Cole Netherton and Kacie Netherton.

Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons.
