Born on April 27, 1949, in Vacherie, Louisiana, Wayne was the son of Chester and Yvonne Percle. Wayne
spent over 40 years working as an engineer through TVA and The Army Corps of Engineers in Huntsville.
Wayne was known for his work ethic and dedication to his family. He enjoyed taking care of his lawn and gardening.
He is survived by his wife,Ann, of 56 years, and his children, Andrea Percle-Navarre (Robert), Jessica Wickwire (Jason), and Angela Percle; four grandsons, Ian Wickwire, Luke Wickwire, Jake Wickwire, and Connor Manley; and his sisters, Jackie Olivier and Bea Parker (David). He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother in-law, Gillis Olivier.
A visitation will be this Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur.
There will be a visitation at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church in Decatur on Thursday, June 18th from 8:30-10:00 am followed by Mass at 10:00 am. A Christian burial will be after Mass at Roselawn Funeral Home.
Wayne will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Aucoin, Robert Navarre, Ian Wickwire, Luke Wickwire, Jake Wickwire, Connor Manley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
