Willard Dean "Poppa" Woodall

Willard Dean "Poppa" Woodall, 80, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be today, July 15, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Vinson officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Woodall was born May 30, 1934, in Decatur to Earnest D. Woodall and Dessie Byars Woodall. He served in the U.S. Army and was a retiree and full-time father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward and Buster Woodall; and sisters, Opal Knighten and Ernestine Brewer.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Irene Woodall; daughter, Sabrina Woodall; sons, Brent (Marie) Woodall and Brandon (Deanna) Woodall; brother, Bennie (Connie) Woodall; sisters, Ann (Robert) Lowery and Diane (Don) Penley; and grandchildren, Taelor and Jordan Stover, Hannah Grace, Garrison and Chaz Woodall.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Teague, George Allen, Paul Humerick, Rufus Thompson, Bob Wiley and Joey Damron.
