William Lester Edwards Jr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lester Edwards, who went home to be with the Lord on November 19, 2025. Lester was a devoted husband, father, son and a man whose kindness and generosity left a lasting imprint on every life he touched.

Lester's greatest joy in life was his family. He was the proud father of three daughters—Elizabeth (Johnny), Alice (Pat), and Leslie (Aldon)—who were his world and the source of endless pride. He adored his four grandchildren Sydney, Brady, Catherine and Lucas. Lester was preceded in death by his mother, Eula Duran Edwards, his father, William Lester Edwards, Sr and his wife, Margaret Keith Edwards. Lester was deeply committed to his family building a home filled with laughter, jokes, love, and hospitality.

A hard worker in every sense, Lester approached life with determination and humility. He had a remarkable gift for making others feel welcome. Whether hosting family gatherings, neighborhood cookouts, or simple moments around the table, he loved entertaining and opening his home to others. His hospitality made everyone feel like family.

Lester's legacy lives on through the love he poured into his family, the friendships he nurtured, and the countless moments of joy he created. He will be remembered for his gentle strength, his loyalty, and the way he always made room for others.
