Willodean Woodard Chandler was born August 21, 1930, to James Robert Woodard and Mary Elzie Murphree Woodard. Dean married her beloved husband Gene Austin Chandler on December 24, 1947, and was preceded in death 60 years later on December 24, 2007.

She was also preceded by their son, James Larry Chandler, two of his children, their granddaughter Lara Lee Chandler Whitehead, and James Ashley Chandler. Her surviving children are Nancy Carol Chandler and Gene Alfred Chandler, widower of Cynthia Kay Simmons Chandler.

The surviving grandchildren are Lowell Gene Chandler (wife, Charlene), Philip Dean Chandler, Cecilia Kay Chandler McCluskey (husband, Garion), Arby Chandler, and Jeffrey Chandler, (wife, Ashley).

Willodean is survived by one sister Mary Evelyn Woodard Clifton and preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters: Evert Woodard, Talmous E. Woodard, Mozelle Woodard Murrell, Buena Luell Woodard Holmes, James Robert Woodard, Jr., and Betty Jean Woodard Smith.

Great Grandchildren: Megan Chandler, Kaylee Chandler, Sarah Chandler, Jonathan McClusky, Carson Whitehead, and Dallas Whitehead.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 1 at 2 PM. at Roselawn Cemetery. Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
