Funeral for Yuri S. West, 81, will be today at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Michael Mason and the Reverend Scotty Letson officiating. Burial will be in Burningtree Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. West, who died Monday, December 19, 2011, was born November 6, 1930, in Torrance, CA to Tokichi Shino and Semo Shino. She was a loving mother and devoted wife, and she was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mrs. West is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Charles (Dick) West; sons, Richard (Pat) West of Enterprise, Robert (Sheryl) West of Tuscumbia, Donald (Linda) West of Foley, and Billy (Rhonda) West of Trinity; brothers, N.G. Shino (Terry) of Kamakua, Japan and Frank N. Shino (Haru) of Santa Ana, CA; sisters, Mitzi Jeffrey of St. Maries, ID and Fumi Dunow of Monticello, UT; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David West, Steven West, Josh West, Jason West, Justin West, and Jonathan West.
