Alyssa, what an inspiration you are to anyone who had the honor of knowing you. I remember meeting you in class, you were new to the program and I immediately took a liking to you and lent you all my old books for the classes you were taking. Instant friendship we had ;) We had so much fun together, you were always next to me, us making stupid faces or having inside jokes. The best was you told me I better not go into labor during class because you don't know if you could handle that. The odds of me having the baby in class was pretty high too, since I was huge and 9months preggers! Good times we had momma! I promise I will continue to fight yellow and support your cause. You made me a better person, you gave me a better outlook on life and I want you to know I will forever be greatful to you for touching my life in such a remarkable way! I'm so sorry you didn't get to meet my daughter, you would of loved her as she would of loved you. We were both always so busy with life, unfortunately I never got to say goodbye face to face! You taught me a very valuable lesson...always make time! But I will see you again my friend. Please know I love you and I will always hold you close to my heart and you will always be in my thoughts! God Bless you!

I am so sad to hear that Alyssa succumbed to our nemesis. We will continue the fight. We will prevail.

How can I be sitting here writing this instead of having a pointless yet detailed filled conversation via bbm or gchat vid? So many people came to say goodbye to you, not that I was the least bit surprised. Even before you got sick, you could light up any room you entered with that smile. I am so grateful and honored I was able to call you a friend. You amazed me day in and day out; whenever I had a bad day you were always there, even though my bad days were never anywhere close to yours. "A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere & endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles." You will always be my hero Lyss. The girls and I promise we will continue to Fight Yellow. Rest easy Beautiful. I love you always girlfriend.

Dear Alyssa,
It was an honor to have been your teacher when you were a student in the Master of Teaching Literacy Program at Touro College. Yet, in the end, the truth is I learned more from you than I could have ever hoped to have taught you. I really have no words to express how much you meant to me and how much I grew to admire and respect you except to say you touched my soul.
Indeed they say whether on a religious or spiritual level we have two lives: of course, there is the mortal life for which there are no certainties. But there are also the memories of the person of which I know you will live on forever in the hearts and mind of everyone whose lives you touched.

Hey you,
Just like Amanda said, I never thought we would be here. You are gone from this earth but not from our hearts. I had so many flashbacks this past week. From highschool, from college and after. I felt bad I lost your bracelet - it was so big it fell off my wrist and you didn't have anymore haha - but I just ordered another so I can wear a peice of you wherever I go. You were an inspiration to so many during your cancer, but you were an inspiration even before that! I always looked up to you - always so put together and always so caring and fun. I wish I was there more these past two years for you but I know you had all the support you needed. I thought we had more time with you, but timing isn't always planned. I'm sorry for that friend. You were truly amazing and will always be in everyone's eyes. Watch over Miss and the girls, your mom, dad, brother and family. They love you more than life itself. We all love you. Goodbye for now love. We all miss you very much and you will never be forgotten. <3 Jillay ;)

My Luv, This can't be real! I can't say goodbye to you. It hurts so bad.... What do I do? Where do I look to find you? Parades of people came to say goodbye to you.... I remain speechless. This is not what we were planning. WE just started writing a joined charter in our respective books of life... My Luv, I dream of you... I see you and you see me... We see us!............I miss you terribly. I love you so much!!
