I’m just seeing this as I looked up Ann. I thought of her always through the years. We worked together at Chemical Bank and I use to say she was my 2nd mother. She taught me how to make sauce.  Brought me fresh basil and other fresh vegetables from her garden. Always invited me to her beautiful home for lunch. I felt like I knew her family because she spoke of them so often and so lovingly.  I’m sad we lost touch and sad to see she passed. I will always remember her and think of her fondly with love. May she rest in eternal peace.

Since I could only choose a few words here to describe Mom:
Caring - Mom was the ultimate caretaker who put everyone else’s needs in front of her own. 
Genuine - No-nonsense and no façade, friendly and open. Mom spoke to strangers as if she knew them. She always took time to make conversation, and often got a laugh out of someone she didn’t even know. 
Talented and Humble - Cooking, baking, gardening, drawing or decorating, Mom’s creative ability showed through. She enjoyed beautifying her home, and took pride in doing everything herself.  A “simple meal” was never really simple, and always tasted amazing. If she baked a beautiful cake or pie, she would say it was “Just something she whipped up”. Each holiday, she baked and decorated cookies for our son, and make homemade treats for our dog. And her artwork - she loved to paint and sketch. On special occasions, she would create a piece of art around an interest or the theme as a gift. When we would tell her how beautiful it was, she would say, “It’s not that great”.
Happy – We would always see a big smile on her face when we walked through the door. And always hear enthusiasm in her voice when she picked up the phone. It was easy to make Mom laugh, and she often did.
Hospitable - Mom welcomed everyone into her home. She loved hosting holidays and special occasions. She would cook, bake and decorate for days. There was not a detail she would miss. Our birthday parties had homemade games, decorations, and a beautifully decorated theme cake. She made it all, and all so special.
Proud - of her kids and grandkids. Not a day went by when she wouldn’t ask for my son. She loved hearing about everything, and always took the opportunity to brag to others about him. She would say this was okay because she was the Grandmother. She loved indulging her grandchildren too - it gave her joy. 
Mom, you will always be our amazing Mother - and my closest friend. And you will never really be gone to me.

I have the fondest memories of Ann Perillo from way back in the late '70s and early 80's.  I was a good friend of her daughter, Irene.  Ann always went out of the way to do a little something special for me.  I still hang the beautiful  hand-sewn Christmas Stocking she made for me in 1976!  I think of her often, especially this time of year.  I am so saddened to hear of her passing.  I will remember  her always, as a  person who went the extra step to make everyone feel special .  My deepest condolences to her husband Paul, Irene, Paul and Maryann.  She was a true gem, and no doubt, her presence is strongly missed.  Sending Prayers and love to her family.

My very special and wonderful Aunt Ann will always fill my heart and many others with loving memories. She was and is a beautiful person and soul to always remember shining under a beautiful light. She was a fantastic aunt, mother, wife, grandma, friend, etc to so many... smart as a whip and bright, supportive, feisty and witty (I will always remember her pretty and warm smile when I think of her), encouraging, loving, truly cared about so many people and what they were going through in their lives. I especially will always hold in my heart how she took extra care to always ask me about what was going on in my life with genuine compassion and interest. I will always appreciate and remember this about her... And I will miss her kind words of concern, as she did so without judgment - only compassion.

She was and is a special woman to so many. I will miss her light and upbeat energy and good conversations... She was a terrific gem of an Aunt and I've been so lucky to have had such a  wonderful, special and beautiful Aunt throughout my life... XO

I still can’t believe that my remarkable mother has passed. It is  truly “surreal”, as she was doing so well. I was with her and holding her hand, when she passed. It was the most difficult thing I have ever been thru [in my entire life]. I don’t think we can ever be prepared for this day and we never want to say a “final goodbye”. 
I am truly blessed to have had the most phenomenal mother...she always put her children, her husband and her parents, first...she was truly an “Angel”, on Earth...she is now an “Angel”, in Heaven. I know she will always be watching over me and my family. I already miss her sooooo very much...I feel “empty” inside. My life will never be the same without her, but someday we will be together, again. I am sooooo blessed to have had such a wonderful mother...she was my very best friend, for my entire life. Her loving memories will remain in my heart, forever. Mom...I love you sooooo much and will miss  you, always. Irene XOXOX
