David Castro-Blanco was born in Baranquilla Colombia.
He emigrated to the U.S. at the age of 18 enrolling in Columbia University. He received a degree in Architecture with highest honors.
David formed a successful architectural firm, Castro-Blanco Piscioneri & Feder which was a leader in the field in New York for three decades.
Throughout his career David received multiple awards for design and became a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects, the highest honor in his profession.
David and his wife Frances were married for 62 years until her death in 2018.
David leaves behind his two sons, David (Nancy) and Jim (Edie) and five grandchildren, Kelly, Michael, David, Carolyn and Christopher.
David was a beloved husband, a devoted father and a kind and generous soul.
