Eliseo A Rosales

Eliseo Rosales was born on June 14th, 1938 to Lucas and Valeriana Rosales in San Salvador, El Salvador. He died on November 24th, 2017 at the age of 79. His childhood was enjoyed with his 5 surviving siblings: Rodrigo, Hilda, Gloria, Salvador, and Isael.

He grew his family with his beloved wife Sonia Rosales. They have 4 amazing children, his sons Noe, Juan Eliseo and Josue, and his daughter Elba. He sacrificed many things throughout his fatherhood for them, and his biggest sacrifice was to pave their way to the United States. He brought them all here to a country he grew to love, and he proudly became a United States citizen.

He was also an amazing grandfather, too. He was a beloved Dadu to Peter Lucas and Valeriana, an adored Ado to Penelope, a loved Abuelito to Gabriel and Cassandra, and a cherished Tito to Juliet. His smile would light up the room when he saw his grandkids, and he loved hearing all 6 of them run around the house together playing.

He leaves behind a family who cherished him and a collection of wonderful art. He was an Art Designer by trade and a portrait artist at heart. He painted portraits of all 6 of his grandchildren and many more beautiful portraits. Anyone who has had the opportunity to see his art marvels at his detail and beauty. His attention to detail also made him a creative and ingenious, problem-solving inventor.

He was a well-rounded artist that included music in his repertoire. He played multiple instruments, but most of all the piano. He enjoyed playing soccer in his youth, and later enjoyed watching soccer with his kids. He stayed active throughout his life, including riding 5 miles about town even as old as 78.

Eliseo was an amazing man who cherished his family and was cherished by them in return. He will be greatly missed. We will cherish his memory in our hearts. In Memorial of this great man contributions can be made in his name to Winthrop Hospital.
