I can’t think of a specific memory to post.. there are too many. 

You were the cute  pesky little toddler that I use to hide my toys from whenever you came over.,..you were  the mischievous kid that would sneak with me into Rebecca’s room  (to listen to her hard metal records) when she tried to lock us out … you were the teen boy that had better eye lashes than me and it made me so jealous… you were the person who would get in trouble one minute but was forgiven the very next because you had a smile that melted hearts…you were the man  who had a  fairy take wedding that caused me to believe one day I’d find my prince… 
Finally, you were the human who knew he was flawed, and was trying hard to rectify your mistakes  and do better.

You were so  complex yet so loved, which is obvious by the legacy you leave behind. 

I pray that you are at peace with Rebecca and dad, and that you keep close watch on James, Frankie, Nicola and mom,

Chef Eric wasn’t just our boss he was a friend, teacher, family and a big brother to most of us at Avenue… he brought so much laughter, joy and creativity in to the kitchen an ours lives… he was always there to help us in anyway even if it was personal or we needed a word of advice… he would always made us put our family first before anything…one thing for sure  he took us out of our comfort space and made us  better and confident while doing  our job… his passing has left a big void in the  kitchen that it’s  going to take a while to adjust… it will never be the same 
To his mom Mrs G… he was so proud to call you his mom that every time he spoked about you he would have the biggest smile on his face…                            To his 2 kids his pride and joy he was so proud of you both that every time you guys were on the phone he would make sure he stop what he was doing and talk to you guys… you guys was his everything and he loved you until the end                   Every time we picked up a knife , a cutting board or a sauté pan even our phones we’ll remember you chef…Rest in peace chef Eric…     #xoyoyo …      Family, friends, colleagues sending lots of thoughts and prayers to you guys as we bid farewell to a great soul this weekend…     #gonetoosoon

I can't remember if we go back any further than this.  
I can't find anymore pics. From religion class or when you visited in Florida for Joey's wedding a few years ago.  I guess maybe it was more than a few years ago but time just felt like it never passed by between any of us.  I loved seeing all your updates on how your children were getting so big and all the yummy things you were making.   Boy buddy I can't believe this is the end of your story.

So saddened to hear of the passing of my wonderful childhood friend. We crossed paths a number of times over the years and Eric was always warm, funny, and thoughtful. He always made me smile. My heart is broken over the loss of his light. My deepest condolences to his family. May you find peace and healing. He will be missed by many, but he will never be forgotten.

Working so closely with Eric and supporting each other through many changes over the past couple years brought us closer as co-workers and friends.

So sorry to hear this ! It was ,and still is a shocker . My heart goes out to My cousin Rosie , and His wife Nicola and children. I remember finally connecting with Eric after so many yrs Thanks to FB . He was an Amazing Chef ( that was his passion ) . He loved his Mother , Wife and children more than life it's self . Eric you were my little brother. So many fun times together from mailbox baseball to cooking for my parents to helping my 2nd mom out. We lost touch after high school you went and did your thing I went and did mine but when we reconnected it was like I just saw you the day before. We have been through a lot in life together the passing of Rebecca we spoke about after she left us to your Dad passing and me being there by your side and when my dad passed you there by mine. 
You are a great man you were loved and I’ll do my best to help Nicola with things she needs for JJ and Frankie Fran Fran even though they are across the pond I will do my best to make sure I check in on them
You are loved and missed my Brother till we see each other again

Hi Mrs Guerin, 
I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Eric at Avenue for the past two years. He took care of me and the staff like no other manager. He was the most amazing chef I have ever worked with. He was my biggest supporter here at Avenue and I wouldn’t have lasted these two years without him. He took care of my family like they were his own, they adored him. He made us all laugh and feel supported. He was so proud to be your son and a father to his beautiful kids. I will miss his words of encouragement and constant love and support. My heart breaks for you and his kids. He truly was one of the most important people I have ever met and I will continue to thank him for his impact on me. I will miss him so much. JORDAN

Chef Eric came and met both of my parents as they came to visit me. I told him how much he reminded me of my dad and working with him was like working with family. Always looked out for me and telling jokes. I truly can say wholeheartedly that it was a pleasure to have worked for him.

It was an absolute honor and privilege to work with you. You made work so much fun, you were always so kind, had a bright smile, and always cared about your staff. You will be truly missed rest in peace Chef.

Growing up in Deer Park, everyone around our age knew who Eric Geurin was. A funny guy with a big smile and a funny story to share. That never changed, even in his worst times. 
Eric and I were very close in school but drifted apart shortly after.  I was fortunate enough to reconnect with him over the past few years. He is an amazing, accomplished chef. He loved his family and especially his kids....and he still wore that big smile and made you laugh with a story or joke, and he still cared more about you and your families well being than his own. Eric was true to form, which is rare these days. 
My condolences to his family and all of us friends of his. We all will miss him greatly, especially that smile and inevitable third person mention of himself as "E-Fresh", a true one of a kind. 
RIP Buddy!
