Mrs. Esther Euralene Gill was born July 9th, 1931 in Rock Hall, St. Thomas, Barbados to the late Inez Cox and Goldfiled Cummins. She was the eldest of six children. In the early 1960's Esther immigrated to the United Kingdom. After spending six months there she returned to her "Sweet Barbados". After the deaths of her husband and mother. Esther left her "Sweet Barbados" again and immigrated in 2010 to the United States of America where she lived with her loving daughter Margo Harris and her husband Tracy Harris. From a very young age she attended St. Thomas Parish Church. She was confirmed at this church and she sang in the choir for over fifty years. In her later years, she became hooked on Word Search. Every day she would sit for hours and search for those words. Esther was a seamstress and a homemaker. She was married to the late Floyd Gill and to that union two sons, Wade Gill of Lauderhill, Florida, Glyne Gill of Brooklyn, New York, and two daughters Margo Harris of Dix Hills, new York, Judy Small of Brooklyn, New York were born, all of whom will cherish her loving memories. Esther Gill departed this life on March 10th, 2018 to be with the Lord. She also leaves to cherish her memories eleven grandchildren: Rodney Gill, Melissa Gill, Chelsea Gill, Sophia Henry, Denise Rivera, Karim McDougal, Tiffany Harris, Ashley Harris, Leah Harris, Nadene Small and Andre Small, sister Mavis Cox of Toronto, Canada and brother Carl Cox of Wales, UK., fourteen great-grandchildren. Mother-In-Law of Tracy Harris, Carmen Gill, Arlette Gill and Elmo Small. Relative of Wendy Holder of Brooklyn, New York and Andolene Porte of Barbados and close friend of Mildred Nurse of Barbados and Rosalind Thomas of Bay Shore, New York and "adopted mother' of Trevor Reid of Mississauga, Canada. Rest on dear Mom, your work is done. You fought the good fight and finished the race. Well done. We love you and you will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace.
