

Helen Wiberg-Kubis, age 103, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024. She was born in Geneseo, North Dakota on June 24, 1920, on the family farm, to the late Helena and Bartholemeus Murack. She and Walter Wiberg raised two daughters in Bayside, NY. After being widowed, she met and married Thaddeus Kubis. They enjoyed travelling the world together. She was an avid gardener and flower arranger, winning many awards. She studied flower arranging in Japan and was a lifelong Federated Garden Club Judge. She loved everyone except if you were a termite or crabgrass. She is survived by her two children – B.J. Graynor (Andrew) and Sandi (Deborah) Koltzau (William); five grandchildren – Kevin, Brian, Steven, Brie (Yianni) and Kyle (Denise) and 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her two husbands and six siblings.
A visitation for Helen will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:30 PM and 7:00 to 9:30 PM. at Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will occur Friday, February 16, 2024, at 9:15 AM at Ss Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY. A burial will follow at 11:30 AM at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY.
