Joseph “Joe” Cianciotto, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, at the age of 91, surrounded by his loving family. Born in 1934, Joe spent these 91 years sharing his boundless love and care for all of those around him.
He grew up the middle brother to Theresa and Ann and was overjoyed when they brought his brothers-in-law Tony and Emile into his life. He was an avid sports fan—though his lifelong love was the New York Yankees.
Anyone who knows Joe understands that his family was the center of his life. He was a devoted and cherished grandfather to Stephen and Emily, Lauren and Andrew, Anthony and Jake, Christina, and Guy, cheering from the sidelines at every baseball and soccer game, school play, art exhibit—every big moment and every small one.
He was a loving and supportive father to his daughters, Janet and Denise, and chosen sons, Steve and Craig—always the first one there to help with something around the house, school pick-up or carving the turkey.
Most importantly, he was married to his best friend, Gerry, for a beautiful 64 years. His biggest advice when asked for the secret of a long and happy marriage was to “pick a good woman” and he let all those around him know that he had done precisely that.
Joe will be severely missed by his family, friends and neighbors, but we all have been blessed to have this much time with him.
