Joseph of Deer Park, LI died Thursday and he was 55. He was born in Brooklyn to his parents, the late Joseph and Helen (née Rack). Joe married his sweetheart, the former Donna Schutz; and together raised their four children: Joseph W, Michael R, William R and Jeanna M Serpa. Anyone who knows Joe remembers his fun-loving attitude. Family was everything. When he wasn't playing football with his boys, you could find him in front of the television watching his beloved old westerns, particularly The Rifleman. He loved horse racing, and rocked to Jimi Hendrix and Aerosmith. In addition to Donna and their children, Joe leaves behind his sisters - Pauline (Harold) Neal and their children, Christine and Patricia: Theresa DeLuca and her daughter, Danielle: Maryann (Kirby) Ingraham and their daughter, Michelle: and Helene (Nap) Vela and their children, Nicholas, Stephen and Briana. On Tuesday May 22 all will gather at the funeral home by 10:00 am and proceed together to St Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale where interment is scheduled for 11:00 am.
