Josephine Graf

Josephine Graf, age 88, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Josephine was born January 26, 1934. Josephine was born on Long Island, New York on January 26, 1934. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1951, the first person in her family to graduate from high school. As an adult, she lived in Buffalo, NY; North Babylon, NY; Normal, IL; and, for the last thirty-three years, in Tempe, AZ. She loved Judge Judy, Jeopardy, and Tom Selleck. Josephine lived for her family, children, and grandchildren. She is survived by her four children, Laura (Greg) Holden; Linda (Terry Murphy) Graf; Michael (Joanne) Graf; and Rita (Joe Brinkley) Graf; four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jarrod Whitmore) Holden; Zachary and Alex Graf; and Ashley Brinkley; sisters, Barbara Hoey and Joan (Ronnie) Procida; brother, Stanley (Cathy) Smolenski; and cousin, Pat Giovanetti. She was preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Stella Smolenski; sisters, Alice Smolenski and Dorothy Michinski; and brothers-in-law, Thomas Michinski and Robert Hoey. She was also preceded in death by dogs Cleo, Windsor, Ben, Francis, and cat Mia. Josephine is finally reunited with her beloved grandparents, her Aunt Helen, and her Aunt Jenny and Uncle Ziggy.

A visitation for Josephine will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home. Following the visitation will be an interment at 12:30 PM at North Babylon Cemetery, Livingston Avenue, North Babylon, NY.
