

Madeline was born in Ridgewood NY on September 10, 1916. She graduated from John Lewis Childs School in 1931 and then went on to graduate from Mrs. Smiths Secretarial School. She was the Principals Secretary at California Avenue School for 25 years.
Madeline is preceded in death by her parents Otto and Caroline Fischer and her husbands Norman Egloff, Sr. and Vincent Cooper and her grandson Todd Egloff.
Madeline is survived by her sons Norman and Warren Egloff and daughter Lois Grant, nine grandchildren Paul and Brian Egloff, Kim Mueller, Jennifer Thall, Heather Gentilella, Stephanie Hludzinski and Daniel and Michael Grant, thirteen great-grandchildren Paul Egloff, Carissa Zerella, Anna and Connor Mueller, Matthew and Kelsey Thall, Samantha, Joseph and Nicolas Gentilella, Stefan and Maximus Hludzinski and Ryan and Amanda Grant and one great-great grandchild Gianna Zerella.
In life Madeline was very active as a member of the California Ave. School PTA and served as Vice-President and President. Was a member of the Uniondale High School Advisory Committee and the Smith Street School Corner Stone Committee. She also wrote the newsletter for the district secretaries “The Keynote” for many years. She was also a member of Uniondale School District Bowling League. She was also a member of the Deltona Women’s Golf Association and served as Vice-President and then President of the league and also wrote their newsletter for many years. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 10096 Deltona.
As a golfer she participated and won many golf tournaments and made a hole-in-one twice and played until she was well into her 80’s. She also enjoyed bowling and had many awards for over 200 and 250 games. In the years that she was living at the Cloisters she enjoyed playing Wii Golf and Wii bowling which she played in many tournaments and also played bridge, pokeno, hand & foot, bingo, bunco, marbles game, table bowling and doing the jig saw puzzles.
